So the moon is going to hit my correctly protected eye like a big pizza pie, do I have that right?

Just remember. Don't stare at the sun. Unless it looks really, REALLY awesome.

    That's Amore - Dean Martin
Staring at the Sun - U2
Walking on the Moon - The Police

I'm adding those to my eclipse playlist which only had the aforementioned Bonnie Tyler.

Eclipse has occurred. It seems the sky turtle did not decide to bite the earth after swallowing the sun. This time.

T frankly reminded me of Dark Star by the Grateful Dead. Although those last for twenty minutes.

The Eclipse play list must have been a thing because I saw a couple of friends posting about it on FB. I, of course, proceeded to steal the idea.

Not already mentioned, unless I spazzed out on a post or two:

No Sunlight - Death Cab for Cutie
    Moon Shadow - Cat Stevens
Planet Claire - The B52s (not specifically about the subject at hand, I just feel like it belongs)
On the Dark Side - Eddie and the Cruisers
Total Eclipse - Alan Parsons' Project
Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones
You're So Vain - Carly Simon (you know he went down to Nova Scotia to see a total eclipse of the sun)

I have decided to spend April 8, 2024 in the path of totality. That one will pass through Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. I'm thinking Burlington, Vermont. Anybody else want to come? Is it too early to make hotel reservations?

It is worth it, I would do it.

    But yeah, a bit early.

Will be making plans to visit Brother Bob for that.

I'm wondering if I can make it that long in one location. The odds are against it.

I did the moving a lot thing as a kid (8 cities by the time I graduated college) so I like being in one place now and visiting others. Brother Bob has been in SA for quite a while and I don't see him leaving.

Never mind the eclipse. What about March 31-April 2, 2018? Any vacancies at Ymo's Camp Ground Wonderland? I'd like indoor plumbing privileges please.
