Congrats! Are you going to law school? If so, you need to know:

1. Pennoyer v. Neff. 'Nuf said.
2. The Rule Against Perpetuities is as confusing as it is useless.
3. When reading cases, the dissent is not irrelevant. It's probably what the prof thinks, because they are all smarter than judges. Just ask, they'll tell you.

I've read Pennoyer v. Neff. I think someone made it up just to colossally confuse the heck out of 1Ls. I'm an OL and I thought I was perhaps reading War & Peace in another language.

Just back from the annual LUMC Youth Mission trip. We went to Gulf Shores, AL and worked with Family Promise, Habitat for Humanity, Mary's Place, and Manna House (in Pensacola). What a great week. I just have to say that LUMC youth ROCK!

I, sad to admit, have been roasting on the Virginia coast, following a strict protocol of bloody marys mid-morning, followed by beers at lunch, cocktail hour and wine down around dinner time. Yet I do have to put up with House G txting me about how even the twin is taking the lowly Tiger to task which ups the wine consumption.

At least today is "Center Part Day" followed tomorrow by "Stick Your Head in the Ice Cooler Day" in honor of 4th of July. We a a hide bound traditional family.
