The Phils are killing the Dodgers and it's only the 3rd inning.

I'd like to go to bed early tonight. As in, in an hour. Too bad I'll be up at 2am if I do that.

I'm contemplating something similar. But maybe with some help from a little benadryl to stay asleep until a reasonable hour.

But then I feel like I'm in a fog when I wake up. I hate that feeling.

Since you are "Out West," you're already two or three hours behind. So I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Blame whoever came up with time zones.

    Yeah, down with time zones!

On a related note, when is Daylight Savings?

Oh, true, true - maybe a little warm milk, then. With some kahlua thrown in.

Sillies on cruise control, but I am going to go around work asking people if Andy Reid shoudl get fired after the Eagles lost to Oakland. Heh heh heh...

That being said, I do like this Phillies team - they seem to keep their focus regardless of the ups and downs...

The Phillies scored more runs (11) than the Eagles did points (9) today.

"They" changed the dates for Standard Time/Daylight Savings Time a couple of years ago. Standard Time is only 4 months long now - Nov. through February, with the change this year on Sunday, Nov. 1st.

Personally, I think we should get an extra hour of daylight during the winter (double daylight savings time?) so it stays light enough to play golf in the late afternoons when it is nice outside
    Ozzie, your paradigm of optimism!

If we keep leaping forward at each change, we'll soon be so far ahead of everyone that we'll get all the goodies before the rest of the world knows about it.

The yarn store where I learned to knit is going out of business.

That stinks! I hope you at least get the benefit of some going out of business sales. And that there is another yarn shop within a decent distance.

Oh there are lots of yarn shops and I 'spread my yarn dollar around'. To be honest, this one was sold a few years ago to a well-meaning guy but not the best shop manager if you ask me. Still, I patrionized the shop. It's right near where I get my haircut and I'd always go in after a haircut to look. I'll miss that extra fun part of getting my haircut. (It is very hard for me to just look in a yarn shop, usually there is something there that I have to have.)

It's always a shame when a local shop where you know and like the people who run it have to close up. This spring, our town lost its family-owned hardware shop that had been there for 50-odd years. They were close by and you could walk in, tell them what you needed, maybe even get some advice, and be in and out of there in a few minutes compared to all the schlepping you have to do in the Big Box Megastores.

I've been much more conscious about this lately and have spread my purchasing dollars around. But I do have a few stand-by places among the megastores that I go to when I know that what I need is there.

Double dipping with this, but I don't care.
