It is never too late to rectify this situation. Head to the store, Miles, and bring back old memories while munching on a PopTart.

It's a byproduct. I knit because I love to knit. The fact that eventually I get something beautiful out of it is almost beside the point. But it keeps those who would rather me devote less time to it off my back.

Suppose you want to knit a tiny sweater for a tiny baby. Is that just a little knit?

And if you knit several scarves and let a person choose one - would they be knit picking?

    She Ewe Knits
    Knit Pickers
    The Yarnwinder
    Wild & Woolly
    A Stitch in Time

Since BD has a knack for knitting, is she a knit knack?

If knits were nets and nets were knicks, would the New York Knicks be the New York Knits? And then a really smart Knick would be a Knit Wit?

Instead of posting 'Lost' episodes, I've messing around with my avatar. I have one now. I sure hope the world doesn't come to an end tomorrow. Don't worry, I haven't finished reading Far From the Madding Crowd yet.

Anybody ever read the short story by W.P. Kinsella, 'The Last Pennant Before Armageddon'?

Have not read that Kinsella story but I will add it to the list. I like his stuff. Just wrapping up vacation and didn't do much except read brain candy:

    Bleachers, John Grisham
    Peace Kills, PJ O'Rourke
    some forgettable David Balducci potboiler
    some forgettable Dave Barry silliness
    Blood Trail, CJ Box

I had no idea what it was. But it's late and I spent the day driving from Pompano Beach to home.
    Ozzie, your paradigm of optimism!

Was it one of his fictional works? Those are pretty darned funny and memorable. My whole extended family (okay, we're avid Dave Barry enthusiasts) laughs about the "killer storm of the century" from Tricky Business.

I figured it had to be somehow related to the knitting arts.

...or should that be restated as the "Lost" art of knitting?
