I'm thinking that a soup with a clear broth base should not have jalapeno. And I like spicy.

It's been a good day - I only went into work for 2 hours and refuse to feel guilty about only 2 hours, had dinner with family and friends, and am going to be in bed before midnight.

Kayla (my lab) and I saw the beaver and two great blue herons this morning!

The beaver slapped its tail twice, which scared Kayla. She jumped and barked. The beaver can swim very fast.

A little further into our run we came upon a great blue heron in the lake. It took off when we got close. A second one also took flight. Those birds are huge.

Oh what a beautiful morning!
