I had another of those "I'm so lucky" moments at work today. I was sitting at a meeting with one of our collaborators, talking about a research project related to pediatric gliomas (brain tumors), when it hit me yet again that I made a very lucky escape from my last job. I went from doing menial work like washing glassware for a power hungry Supervisor Barbie to collaborating on really interesting research projects. After the meeting I made a point to thank my friend (for the bazillionth time!) for thinking of me for this job. I am blessed and lucky!

Yay for those moments. You are lucky to have a job that you love and appreciate. Congrats for making it happen.

On most days, I feel the same way about my gig. Working with smart people on interesting projects is just one of the best job perks in the world.

You are probably one of the few people I would let help me pack. As an Air Force brat who has moved around her whole life, I am a master packer. I have packed myself up the last 5 or 6 moves and have not broken a thing. Give me boxes, wrapping paper or bubble wrap, and some tape and I'll get it all done.

Speaking of packing must go do some now.

Will post more pics in my album when a) I download what I have on my camera, and b) as things start coming together.

Oh, will probably move in 2/28. I need some electrical work done and would like to get some painting done before moving in so fur babies don't mess things up.
