It's amazing how frequently the memory of things like that will play in your mind over the years.

Dunno about muffins, but I bought my wife an apple cider donut (holiday weekend special) from Project Donuts (best donuts I've ever had, dang it) this morning, while settling for my usual maple eclair (which is the best specific donut I've ever had, double dang it).

Ordinarily, I'd agree ... but their maple eclair is even better than their chocolate one. And it's my MIL's favorite, which earns me points (not that I need them, I come out favorably when compared to her other offspring spouses ... but that is a very, very low bar).

To circle back maybe not even a long tern rental.

Warm apple cider donuts are a delight.

And this is why I never buy a digital version of anything unless it is DRM-free. That's getting harder and harder to do, as very few people care, so Corporate America is able to continue the march toward renting everything.

    1) Yeah, my dilemma becomes how many of these $25 movies am I going to view more than a couple times? Maybe in retirement I'll have time to watch them. This then leads me to skip movies at the theater and just buy the 4k UHD Blu-ray DVD.

    2) As far as renting things, yeah that has gotten really annoying(subscription models) particularly with software. I'm fine paying for a few years at one time so that I don't have to pay again. Most of their incremental updates aren't worth the upgrade honestly.

Theyre releasing a live action remake of fern gully. This is both exciting and a knife in the heart to my childhood self.

Good, have had a lot of great in-person interactions. I do miss the extra $$$ in my paycheck.
