But seriously...I love Thanksgiving. Of course I love it because it's the proper kickoff to the Christmas season, but I also think it's really important for us to remember all the things we have to be thankful for. We're incredibly lucky to live in a country like this and have the time and means to do things like maintain internet friendships. I hope everyone genuinely endeavors in the coming couple of days to shout out a bit of thanks to whichever higher being/unifying force/whatever you subscribe to.
A number of years ago, one of my brothers-in-law started the tradition of going around the group gathered for thanksgiving and having each person name 1 to 3 things they were thankful for. My other brother-in-law had the best line one year - he was the last to speak before the more formal blessing and he looked around the room and said he was thankful that most of us had spent a week together in South Dakota and we were still getting together. I am blessed with an amazing family.

We are white-light purists in my family, so things will look clean and pure, yet very sparkly and joyful.
I will of course posts pics just after nightfall on Friday.
Right on. That sounds awesome. Can't wait to see the pics.

I am incredibly excited about this year's Turkey Day. I can't make it home so I am spending the Holidays with the girls from the band, and some other friends. I'm in charge of the bird (herb-brined), gravy (gallons upon gallons), stuffing (wild mushroom and sausage), potato and swiss chard gratin, and green bean casserole. I don't know what everyone else is bringing, but there's plenty more.

I am thankful for all of the close friends that I've met during my adventure out here in California. They have made the journey worthwhile. It's gonna be tough to leave them behind.

I concur. It's rather depressing the lack of support.

I liked it better when you were more mysterious.

I took a break from packing my apartment and I have to move on Saturday. Sometimes the best thing to do is create unnecessary pressure in your life and then see how you respond. I chose to post.

Unless you're moving to Charlotte, you have failed miserably.

Ah yes...I don't pay as much attention to that stuff anymore, now that they've gone and screwed up the Facebook interface. Thanks nonetheless. It is indeed a fabulous piece of flair.

You're most certainly welcome. I was barely on FB before they changed the interface so I wasn't too married to the former.
