I met the technical asset manager for Silicon Valley Bank over the weekend. He’s putting out feelers in case anyone has a lead.

From what's I've been reading, it was an interesting set of circumstances that led to their demise. Some included idiotic communications from the brass, but others were not self inflicted...very different clientele from most banks, and that proved to be disastrous

I'm on call this week and it is crazy busy. Sick babies everywhere. So calls all night.

How quickly can you get back to sleep after each one?

My mom thought good sleep skills helped her immensely when she had nights on call. Especially not lying awake, dreading the next call.

(It certainly helped me when we had small kids around the house.)

Poorly. I get back to sleep poorly. Usually an hour or so at least. But if I'm not traveling it doesn't much matter. I don't have to set an alarm clock. If I'm traveling, it suuuuuuucks.

Oh my! I have been doing 500 in about 45 minutes. Can't imagine this. Just this week my son and I joined the Y. So no more pushups. Hitting the weights now. Also I'm sore.
