The best thing about airports, particularly international terminals, is no shame breakfast drinks.

During the free and easy traveling consultant days, I would sometimes get an early skate and have a few in an the Amex lounge. Also, I recall on some golf junket flight, some of the boys would set over-and-unders on the breakfast screwdrivers. Alas, those we're simpler times... Nothing wrong with airport drinking, if it's "Other People's Money!!"

There are ways to make air travel enjoyable: time in one of the lounges can help, particularly if they're not overcrowded. There are worse things than an open bar with an expansive view of the runway.
