I recently decided that I could buy a new pair of hiking boots, since my Timberlands turn 23 years old this fall. And are still good shoes, though I will designate those more for yard work now. Bought my first Merrells. Have not had a chance to break them in, yet. I may have to check out Hokas. I have had really good luck with Asics and New Balance over the years for "sneakers".
I'll throw my hat in for Allbirds for everyday walking around. I don't trust them for exercising, for which I wear Saucony, but the Allbirds are like walking on a puffy cloud.
