And my take of "Don't none of y'all know" about Pop in the Olympics thread was unpopular. REALLY unpopular. If people think I'm wrong they think I'm wrong. I am uninterested in changing minds.

I was gonna try to exploit my NIL but decided it was easier to just sign with Paris St. Germain.

Ha, local friend of ours is getting their foreign exchange student today for the next nine months, he loves soccer and he lives in Barcelona. He's probably wearing black arm bands.

How do you order a exchange student? Do they arrive in a box with air holes?

How long ago did they order him? Did it take as long as the furniture?

Ohh, great question. I’m not familiar with exchange student supply chains. Are they as backed up as others, like lumber and furniture?!

Funny you should ask. Well, they ordered him quite a few months ago, he was set to arrive today, and I just happend into my friend (his host) in the grocery store moments ago, and Welcome To America, Young Alvar, you missed your flight connection from Newark (plane was four hours late coming in from Barca) so you get to spend your first night in the U.S. in some squalid airport hotel in Newark, better luck tomorrow! My friend actually volunteered to go get him, but the sponsoring agency said Nyet. So we can add human bodies to the things that are stuck in the supply chain.

Furniture is nice, by the way, but I have to custom mold my butt into it, this is going to take some work.

Honestly, that sounds not dissimilar to the lifecycle of a crate.

ha, yes, he is perhaps more accurately Catalan, I'll have to ask him how he sees himself, should he ever get here...

Perhaps in the corner with a nice throw rug and pastoral scene on the wall?
