Santa Fe to pick up kid's girlfriend, couple places in Colorado to see friends, Moab, Zion, and Grand Canyon are on the current itinerary. That first one is the most important one, though.

If you're that close to Moab and Zion, hit Canyonlands, Arches and Bryce.

If you see GRRM in Santa Fe, tell him to finish the damn series already.

Santa Fe has incredible food and culture. I love New Mexico. Beautiful.

Have you been to the desert Southwest before? It really is mind-expanding the first time you see it.

I think I played twice for Wynn's Dry Cleaning and at least once for Triangle Jaycees.

    Parkwood Car Wash!

    Also, Tip Top Bakery.

And, of course, Chico's Bail Bonds.

Where was Tip Top? And I know the Storys owned the car wash. That would have been a cool sponsor.

    Chicos was in California somewhere.

I have been there. Looking forward to getting back. My son hasn't seen much west of the Miss, so it's part just seeing what can be seen. Well, that and the girlfriend.

I've seen Bryce, and there are only so many days. Who knows, though - plans are squishy.

For a 12-hour period. Otherwise, they either ain’t ripe or they need to be thrown out.

Much like pears — the most delicious yet mercurial fruit.

    (Are avocados fruits, not vegetables?)

But for those 12 hours (kisses fingers). Magnificent.

The Mercurial ones make for the best stories. That’s why they always say, love an avocado but marry a potato.

As a boring Irishman, I endorse this motto.

I promise to be pleasingly adequate over the log haul.

Reasonable hail. Like barely hear it hitting the roof kind of hail.

    Well played.

Real talk though. I vastly underestimated the potato. Then I went to Peru. Thousands of potato varietals. I had no idea. None. There was one potato in my life growing up. Russet.
