We've had a lot of coyotes around here, so they have probably had them around their house, too. They are building a new elementary school off Scott King, near Army Corps of Engineers land, so I think a lot of animals have been displaced. Been hearing even more owls than usual.

On a completely different note, I just had to pick margarita salt out of my keyboard. It was a long Friday.

Dang! High wind warning in my neck of the woods today; I didn't get through unscathed. Or I should say my house didn't. A branch speared my roof, punching a clean, 2" hole. Fortunately it's above an eave, so even if my quickie patch leaks, it won't leak into the house. It happened once before, 20 years ago when, when my roof was 10 feet lower.

(Feel free to substitute something else for "Dang". I certainly did.)

That joke hits twice after you've been convinced a snipe is a made up animal ---- then some years later learn that there are actual snipes.

I thought a snipe was a class of day sailer.

This is waaaaaaay more of a plea for help than Budwom's seeking mulching assistance.

You probably are, just haven't made the connection. Here's another well-known one from their canon:
