My first thought was you were talking about uranium, but that cupcake wouldn't be tasty. I'm sure yours were much better.

I owned the 45 of the Rick Dees classic Disco Duck which I have been told is now a collector's item. Alas, it was in my car when my car was stolen (in 1987). Boogie Fever by the Sylvers was in the car too.

Funny you should say this: whenever my wife talks about making a yellow cake, we both have to add "From Africa!" as GWB proclaimed not so many years ago.

My sister had a 45 of Oak Ridge Boys' "Elvira".

Also one of "Just a Swingin'" by...John Anderson? Or is it "Just a Swangin'"? I dunno.

We were a supremely cultured family.

anyone still have any of those plastic doohickeys you put in the middle of the 45s so they'd fit on the spindle?

Hmmm, is it collector's item, collectors' item, or collectors item? Grammar nerds?

    Same.

He reminds me of Steven Wright.

I have a map of the United States... Actual size. It says, 'Scale: 1 mile = 1 mile.' I spent last summer folding it. I hardly ever unroll it. People ask me where I live, and I say, 'E6.”

Related - yet totally unrelated - I regret my username choice.

I chose it in 1999 when I was in graduate school. Yes, I know; graduate devil/grad_devl is ingenious. It's too bad we can't change them, although I understand the reasoning.

Has there ever been a user change their username? I think Mountain Devil has, but there obvious reasons why it needed to be updated.

Your car had a 45 player in it?

No one ever complains when my name changes. It's so strange.
