I know it's a delicate balancing act, especially with kids, and particularly with the interiors. Yet we were struck by the fact that most of the houses we were looking at were on the market for 4-6 months. I also came to the realization that a lot of expensive improvements were going unnoticed because of a failure to address some simple, less expensive issues.

E.g., furball: Unfortunately, my wife's terribly allergic to cats (sorry Ymo... and I LOVE pets). Check that house off the list.
E.g., office obstacle course: hiding the condition of the molding, walls, outlets, closet space.
E.g., exterior pressure washing: Hard to figure out the condition of the brick. We saw four houses with loads of bird stains on the vinyl/siding. If the deck is a feature, then why not wash out the mold? Why is the deck peeling?

I am beginning to see the value of stagers.
    Cheers,

If you have time before you move in, the best thing you can do is a thorough cleaning and any interior painting needed. It's so much easier to do before all your stuff is moved in.

And the value of common sense! I've never sold a house before so granted I don't know how stressful it is, but if the house has been on the market for that long, you'd think that you'd just fix the maintenance issues rather than hiding them behind furniture.

Where did the weekend go? I had a lovely Saturday (diving) and Sunday (Asado, cooked by a true Argentinean), and yet they seem like distant memories. It's only Tuesday!! Man, it's gonna be a long week.

I know I am getting fatigued trying to keep up with your frenzy. I now have callouses and blisters on my fingers from last PMs keyboard assaults.

Please try to maintain your pace though as the breeze back here feel refreshing in the near 100 degree temps that we are "enjoying" in NC now.

    Time Waster

Earlier today I realized, sadly, that I can no longer name all the World Series Champions. I used to be able to but my memory pre-1940 has really gone south. So, here's today's challenge, without looking them up, help me fill in the blanks. Remember, nobody looks them up until we all give up.

Try to fill in the runner-ups too.

Also, if I'm wrong, please correct me (nicely?)

1903 - Boston (Pilgrims then) over Pittsburgh Pirates
1904 - no World Series, although Boston would have won, the Giants were wusses
    1905 - Chicago Cubs
1906 - Chicago Cubs over Chicago White Sox
    1907 -
    1908 - Chicago Cubs
    1909 -
    1910 -
    1911 -
    1912 - Boston Red Sox
    1913 -
    1914 -
    1915 - Boston Red Sox
    1916 - Boston Red Sox
    1917 - Chicago White Sox
1918 - Boston Red Sox over Chicago Cubs
1919 - Cincinnati Reds over Chicago White Sox
1920 - Cleveland Indians over Brooklyn (I think, and were they the Brooklyn Robins that year?)
    1921 -
    1922 -
    1923 -
    1924 - Washington Senators
    1925 -
    1926 -
    1927 - New York Yankees
    1928 -
    1929 -

    Time for a new post

You realize that you could have made separate posts for each World Series? If you had done so, you'd be pushing the 1,000 mark.

Would that have been shameless PW'ing or just exercising one's memory?
