Yeah, UV index here is in the moderate range, but given the amount of time I was out their and the less sun I've been getting lately I may be returnung to my more normal "office" shade.

I'm doing my annual anti-cancer face cream thing (fluorouracil) and I need to avoid sun, which is getting to be pretty easy.

Here on Ocracoke (don't come here, you'll hate it and be bored! Don't even bother looking it up) it's mid-70s and sunny. Nice breeze.

Nice! Been once and arrived in the passenger seat of a 2-seater rented airplane on a windy day. Could have turned coal to diamond...

Be careful, I hear your feet may get stuck in the sand and then you can never leave.

Finding ourselves conveniently unemployed, trying to scheme on a way to be here for a few months.

Had a bottle of wine with the woman who rents out the place where we stay. She regaled us with horror stories of riding out the storm and the aftermath that followed.

I felt like I had a rough last year, but it clearly pales in comparison to what folks here have been through.
