I think the museum in Paris is spelled Looooovra...for Americans, anyway...
p.s. tip o' the day, if you don't mind cool weather: visit Paris in February...we've done it three times, no jousting with tour groups to see stuff in the various museums...going to the d'Orsay one day we couldn't find the entrance at first because there wasn't a single person on line ahead of us...
If I were going to steal some art, it would be a Vermeer, although Renoir's "The Boating Party" is something I would love to have in my home so I could look at it every day. It's too big to steal without a lot of careful planning though. Its permanent home is in DC. When I start spending more time there, I'm going to become a member of the Phillips Museum so I can go look at it anytime I feel like it.
This photo does NOT do it justice. https://www.phillipscollection.org/c.../boating-party
One of my favorite movie genres is a heist movie. I love those get the gang together and work out a complicated plan to steal something films.
Anybody here have a favorite heist movie? An oldie but a goodie - Hot Rocks from the 70s.
Ocean's 11 (2001) is what I use to judge heist films.
Braves baseball Friday.
NBA next week.
I'm so happy. It's happening. Sports.
Yes, well, what isn't odd right now?
