Apparently, we are still in a drought up here, despite a lot of rain lately. A lot.

I was just trying to give Ymo a valid excuse for exceeding his screen time limits.

This rekindles harsh memories of Wallace Wade Stadium in the blazing noon day (September) sun. Won't have to fret about that this year.

We're spending a week at Lewes, DE and I must compliment the people wearing masks outside, easy bike ride down to Rehoboth yesterday to say hello to some old neighbors of ours. Several people on the bike trail we're masked up. I was happy to mask up on the boardwalk.

cutting and removing brush, two large dead trees, nasty sweaty. I remember when GW Bush used to go to his ranch each weekend and "cut brush." GWB and I both cut brush!

I'll be heading to our farm to do some brushwhacking soon. At least it's in the mountains, with predicted highs in the low 80s.

Only 78 here but pretty humid, plus I like to complain.

I'm not a card carrying member of the GWB fan club, but I do see how clearing brush can be cathartic. If it isn't blazing hot. In which case it can be more of a cardiac event than a cathartic one.

I never joined his fan club either, but the brush cutting is cathartic as you say, especially when you sit back and regard your accomplishments. These are finishing touches following The Great Tree Debacle of Halloween, 2017, in which approximately 150 pine trees, all 65 feet or so tall, broke off or were uprooted, including 50 or so across our driveway. The president of the state's largest electric utility even stopped by to regard the carnage (we had no power for five days). It's windy in our area!

Zoom and Skype. We have a fairly robust Skype server setup so continue to use it.

Problem with conference calls during lunch: right as we reached the one moment where I needed to speak, I choked on Chex Mix. Luckily, I had not, yet, hit the unmute button.
