Amazingly, the security guards allowed us to stay, possibly thinking I was a professional photographer, with my expensive camera gear. Neil proceeded to launch into his hit “You Don’t Send Me Flowers”, motioned my girlfriend to the edge of the stage and presented her with a dozen roses as he kneeled to her and sang. I was busily snapping pictures. Very romantic, and put me in excellent standing with my girlfriend . . . Until I went to have the film developed, and made the mistake of opening the camera before rewinding the film. All pictures were ruined, along with a previously budding romance.
