Doesn't it depend on the lean to fat ratio?

Depends on the quality of the meat you are grinding. A self-ground burger cooked rare is... Sublime.

Right there with you today. Unfortunately, my Mason (2010-2017) was much shorter lived due to health issues.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Mason was a fortunate kitty to have you in his life.

Thanks. Yes, it does. I am doing things reflexively for him that were for his benefit. Opening windows, etc.

Yes. There are far bigger problems in the world today, but it still leaves a hole.

Indeed. I'm in the market for a small to mid sized rescue dog (or maybe cat).

    MEN!
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

I am interested to know exactly what you are doing. And for how long.

It is a short term diet that is centered around cabbage soup. The goal is to do it for a week then immediately go on a healthier, well balanced diet. I'm cutting out the soda, junk food, fried food, and red meat - not entirely, but drastically reducing my consumption. Still saving room/calories for ymm, beer (obviously) but drinking in more moderation. That will be the hardest part. Not that I am an alcoholic, but you know how I am about my craft beer Speaking of, we still need to grab a pint soon!

I had a short term diet this weekend that consisted of only Twinkies.

It lasted about 45 seconds. No significant changes in weight were noted.

As soon as my wife and I recover from this dang crud we have been fighting, it is on our list to try. Any tips?
    Let's go Duke!

Now that sounds like a fun diet to try!
