If Wikipedia is to be believed, I would specifically pin his peak on January 3, 1982:

I would contend it happened a few years earlier:

    Rockin' around the Christmas tree

So, in the final 8 seconds of the studio version of the song, there is a bit of an odd noise. Is that just the good ole' boys hootin' and a hollerin' as my grandfather used to say?

I didn't realize the song was recorded in Nashville in '57 by a 13 year old Brenda Lee.

We've been watching season 4 of Man In The High Castle. Some terrific acting on the teevee. Only two episodes left and I'm already bummed that it's ending.

Good thing the regular hoops season is about to kick into high gear.

Six inches of snow over the last two days. Was off yesterday, so didn't have to deal much with the roads. They were pretty spotless this morning. Tip of the cap to the road crews.

When it started, I liked the plot and the premise and I thought the performances had some bright spots. I think the show has really grown over the course of its run, both in scripting and in acting. I too will miss it. I've waited a while so I could savor it at the end of the semester, and am really enjoying the last lap.
In the same vein, check out 11.22.63 on Hulu if you haven't already seen it.

Celebrated my two year work anniversary last week.

I don't think I'm gonna make it to 3 (by choice).

I hit a personal milestone today, but like you it may come with mixed feelings.

    Focus on the happy, right?

In other news, I am using the Marvin Gaye tribute stamps for my Christmas cards.

I think that deserves a round of head-nodding appreciation.

I had heard that through the grapevine.

Just shipped your mashed potato order, should get there around the same time as DinK's gravy. Have a very merry Christmas indeed.

Hmm, not in my Top 10. But then OPK is TSwift fan. (Yes, that is a non sequitur.)
