Do you think there could be a cottage cheese industry for puns?

I love your rebound time. Can't come up with a dairy pun about rebounding.

OK, despite this being the Duke BASKETBALL report, for a moment when I read Duke #8 in the Top 25, I thought, the football team is having THAT good a season? I know. But it was nice that I could actually be confused that way. We get to see Duke play BC on TV around here and that's about it.

Ooo, I'm Tommy Amaker, Harvard coach!

Amazingly, I initially thought the same thing. After the team started doing well, I put all my eggs in one basket and ordered the sports package so that I could watch some games.

My brain is all out of puns. I need to make something to take to a potluck at church tomorrow and I can't even come up with something to make. I better hoof it to the kitchen and make something - I think I'll go with pumpkin bread if I have a can of pumpkin.

The best part about a covered dish meal after church - I'll miss the beginning of the kc chefs game, possibility of missing the entire first half. Given their season - not the worst thing in the world.

I'm done. Too depressed to try and make any more puns.

    Cheese sketch

This IS a cheese shop, yes?

No sir, I was deliberately wasting your time.

In that case, I am going to have to shoot you.

    Right. Get on with it.

After catching up with this thread, all I can say is, in the words of the famous Monty Python sketch:

    MY BRAIN HURTS.

Technically, yes, but over the last 5 years or so, I have become almost exclusively a Duke fan. That feeling has evolved out of all the Duke hatred that has occurred during the last half decade or so, even with "sister" schools' fans like Wake and ND enlisting in profanity laced descriptions about us. I've read/heard of folks absorbing much vitriol at a Duke-WFU BB game in Joel and then witness the crap on the ND message boards after we landed Kelly. I mean, c'mon folks, we're all in similar situations competing against the sometimes corrupt and obnoxious State U's so why not be more supportive of each other in our endeavors? I really admire what Grobe has done with the program at WFU and the fact that Northwestern has respectable athletics at times. I don't know much about the Vandy programs but FB and BB have been very competitive, too. (there, I said it and I like you, too, Ymo) Especially considering they have no "athletic" department, IIRC. So, when asked now, I simply reply, "I pull for Duke." The remainder of the ACC, "feh." And, of course, carolina can STILL go to hell.

You're really milking this line of thought.

(I feel a little better now. At least I have made an entry into the punny business again, even after last evening's very hurtful loss.)

As we are trying to find billybreen, where exactly are you located? I think we've been laboring under the misapprehension that Earljam had him locked up.

Do you think Google has lost him?
