Why don't you just think of it as the Seinfeld thread? It's about nothing but maybe it will run for 9 years. This thread can also be the place for all those thoughts you'd like to express but doubt would get any real discussion going. We're here for you!

We've gotten at least 3 new posters in the past couple of days!

I never answered the bamboo versus metal knitting needle question did I? Mostly it's about the yarn, some work better with wooden needles. Metal is my default though, and if I'm going to knit with wooden needles, I actually prefer the rosewood ones, but I'm not such a snob that I won't use bamboo. Acrylic yarn? Yeah, I'm a snob about yarn, but not about needles.

Silk or cashmere? Actually, scratch that, I could never choose between the two.

    Never did like Seinfeld, either.

Country - I live in the great forest of Fairfield County.

Pound cake, although fruit cake is better for throwing and storing in the fallout shelter.

    Silk or cashmere: CASHMERE!!

Wilson: Kentucky is NOT enemy territory. We've been through that already.

    New preferences:

city living versus country? (over 90% of people live in cities)

    Miles versus Kenny G.?

    Piano versus violin?

Franz Klein versus Holbein (younger or elder)?

    Pound cake versus fruit cake?
    city
    Miles
piano(I took lessons for 10 years and mother-in-law is a retired piano teacher so no other possible answer here for me)
    who?(pardon my ignorance)

    Fruit gum.
    Cashmere.
I let *some* bygones be bygones. Kentucky is not an enemy anymore. Maryland, on the other hand, .

I'm kinda new here, but I really liked the thread about what would happen if the world stopped spinning.

Only 91 more to go as I type...to quote Rob Schneider in The Waterboy, "You can do it!"

(Actually more to that quote, but not repeatable in polite company)

Thanks for the encouragement. Now less than 90 to go...

    Just checking in here...

Cats over dogs. Sick over automatic. The other stuff, I either didn't read closely enough or don't care.

So who else here is spending Xmas/New Year's out of town?

It must be unanimous. If it isn't, then put an asterisk by it and send it on over to Balco. But I'm really hoping it doesn't come to that. I'd like to think that everyone here has been on the up and up.

Health over sickness. mua ha ha ha ha ha! <--- , sheepishly, I must admit that this was just canned laughter, as I'm actually sitting here staring at the screen with a rather somber expression. But I wanted to make it LOOK like I was rotflol. It might have worked, but no way it works if I candidly admit to my dishonest shenanigans.

I don't quite know how to reply to this. I'm stumped. You stumped the Schwab. I concede defeat. You advance to the semifinal round. I go home with parting gifts.

The Schwab must have an interesting life(not). Who wants to know all those useless(IMHO) sports facts? Or am I at the wrong site to be saying all this?

Although being a player name is cool, I have this growing sensation of imposter syndrome - I just don't deserve it!

I feel much more comfortable as a lowly rodent!

silk for summer, cashmere for winter.
