Today is the Winter Solstice. Tomorrow night I'm having a Winter Solstice Dessert Open House party. I know, I'm a day off, but hey, Saturday works better for most people to come to a holiday party doesn't it? All this talk of dessert reminds me that I need to get baking.

Not so random thought of the day: (I've actually thought about this one quite often.) Jon Stewart once commented that moderates never take to the streets shouting "Be Reasonable!". I've always thought it sounded like a good idea. I'd take to the streets and shout "Be Reasonable!" if I thought it would help, well, I'd buy the t-shirt anyway.

December 21st, 2006 was the day my son was diagnosed. Tomorrow will be the year anniversary of his surgery. We spent last Christmas in the ICU. I've got every reason to celebrate this year though. This thread is giving me such a tickle, I can't explain it, but thanks for participating. It's no accident that I chose this weekend to have a holiday party. I think this is my DBR party. And with the marathon training, I seem to be in to dragging things out lately.
