It used to be my day job. I've been on per diem status since the last time my youngest had to do chemo. Originally I was going to go back to regular hours, but, there has been a significant change in the availability of public health research funding over the past 3 years so I only work on a per project basis now. I finally got IRB approval to start working on this project on March 16. What timing!

There is no way I'm looking for the original post right now, but one time, way back near the beginning, I posted something like this:

Three things I will never do naked:

    1) Vacuum
    2) Knit
    3) Cook bacon

I may be slowly getting a handle on this stay at home thing. Of course, our office can stay open so I"m working in the office instead of at home. Unfortunately, no one is here to answer the phones so my day gets interrupted more - but the calls are slowly dying down.

    Hopefully, they don't stop altogether.

Even though the tax deadline has been pushed back, returns still need to be completed and payrolls calculated - so they shouldn't stop completely.

    Tabasco fixes everything...

Power out, first time in 7 years or so it hasn’t come back on in a couple minutes. Utility website say 7:00 to 7:30 my time(currently 5:40 am) before they have power restored.

Rained on the shed kit I bought and unpacked from its packaging to move to the backyard. Not an auspicious start to the weekend.

Apparently, not power lines. But it does help turkey sausage.

Power back on, they got that fixed quicker than expected.

And back on again. Better get the waffles done, don’t want to lose power mid-bake.

    And yes, fully clothed.

Deep fry them and sprinkle with some lemon juice while they are hot.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

My dishwasher finally gave up yesterday. We've needed a new one for a long time but can't get a new one because, well, without getting into too many long and boring details, I wouldn't be able to open the door of a new dishwasher because the fridge is in the way.

    Oh joy.

And the washing machine might be leaking.

I was thinking garlic butter. Lots of garlic and some butter.

Lots of bored spouses at Lowe’s this morning. And a few wives giving instruction...

Why go into details when a picture will do? 😁 📷
