According to the googles, it's French slang for 'party'.

Ain't no party like a bluetooth party because a bluetooth party can't hear.

Ain't no party like a bleuteuf party because a bleuteuf party smells cheese.

Fun fact: Bluetooth is named for a 10th-century Danish chieftain-king who united an array of Norse tribes under a common political apparatus and a more regularized language.

Queen Elizabeth I didn't invite the Danes to many parties. They were more of a thorn in her side. Elsinore Castle was notorious and not in a good way. At least from the English point of view in the 16th century.

Anyway, I suggest that we have a virtual Halloween Party in this thread. Just in case people have actual things to do on Halloween, let's do it on Friday before. If there is sufficient interest, we can do it on Fridays all through October. One for candy, one for pumpkins, one for costumes.

Even the little Bluetooth symbol is based on Harald Bluetooth's initials in rune form.

This is blowing my mind. It's also really funny to have a word like 'bluetooth' SO associated with one thing and then finding out there was a real life king named Harold Bluetooth. I mean, the 'Harold' isn't doing the fella any favors either...

...but what else do you expect when your dad's Gorm the Old, ammiright?!?!

I feel like there's a Bill and Ted or sketch comedy idea in here somewhere.

This, YES. Berzerking Norse king comes back from battle and wants to unwind with music on his wireless headset...not sure if it’s Nordic metal or, like, Enya.
Anyway, as Bluetooth devices are wont to do, the headset is finicky in connecting, raising said king’s blood pressure. Destructive hilarity ensues.
