Wouldn't be right without a "Disaster Pants" incident.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

Is this metaphorical, or do you actually have a small child?
...asked the non parent who has never once changed a diaper

No kids either but I've changed a couple diapers. Supplied materials for the manufacture of hundreds of millions of diapers.

Nope, literal. We have a 9 month old and were finally able to introduce him to his only remaining great grandparent. Anyway, poo has to go somewhere and when a baby is strapped into the car seat, that somewhere is out the top back or the leg sides. My wife started making lots of panicked noises as it seeped out so I made an emergency stop at one of 95’s island rest stops and we took the baby out on to the grass for a wipe down and change. I’m sure it looked like we were performing Emergency surgery.

Then we all went into the rest stop (it was in MD) and got crab cakes.

    No we didn’t.

Crab cakes at rest stops are disgusting and should be outlawed.

I’m thinking Rest Stop Crab Cakes can be the subject of John Mulaney’s next SNL musical.

If you get Rest Stop Crab Cakes, you should probably not be sitting on toilet seats.

oh dear me, what a concept.
I haven't been thru the Baltimore tunnel in 40 years, I take a major detour just to void that whole Ballmer to Freddysburg thing, much better on the nerves.

Betty, Duncan, and I have been friends for a long time. The Doughboy and I hang out. But I made a new friend today. I see a great friendship evolving between Domingo (Ghiradelli) and I.

Satellite, radar and surface data indicate that an area of low pressure located about 125 miles west-southwest of Grand Cayman Island continues to become better organized, and if current trends ccontinue, advisories will be initiated on a tropical depression this fternoon or evening.
    What says the Drewsk?

I am assuming the rest stop was to air out the car? Those blowouts can be toxic.

Turned the heat on for the first time. Hope to turn it off again at least once more time but I think we've zig-zagged to mostly chilly from here on out.

we're getting by nicely so far with just our new heat pump, though that will be insufficient soon...39 chilly degrees now...

The Drewsk has had a very busy week/weekend with his coursework and TA duties. He has informed me that he has not been able to monitor Zeta with his usual zeal. I have asked him to give me an update when/if he does have time.
