    Thumbs down

Found this thread and am feeling a little down. The thread started in early November and they have over 46,000 posts. Course, they probably have more members.

I too am craving a hamburger.

We lost power in our building, and soon will lose all connectivity. And even worse, we'll lose heat.

So I'll go home and work from home.

In the spirit of earworms, think "We Didn't Start the Fire"

    Pop Tarts, Pitt game
    Bush can’t say “Battier”

    Random thoughts, gingerbread,
    This thread will never grow.

    Egg nog, marzipan
    EarlJam is a doodyhead,

    Black-eyed peas, collard greens
    Polls on campus buildings.

    Ice cream, milkshakes
    Merry Christmas everyone.

    Tea vs coffee
    Road signs from everywhere.

    Refrain:

    Now the thread is growing
    When the daylight’s burning.
    BD had a vision
    Drafting onward, upward
    In a posting frenzy.

    Dogs, cats, Christmas gifts.
    Many more random polls.

    Cow bells, car brands,
    1990 summer.

    Bowl games, chocolate,
    Happy New Year.

    MLK Day, movies,
    Ice cream’s back

    Bugs Bunny, PP board
    What the heck is Blu-Ray?

    Pro football, Utz chips,
    BostonDevil knits a scarf.

    Refrain

    EarlJam’s avatar, moderators posting,
    Patrick Davidson, animals in sweaters.

    ArkieDukie wins the scarf,
    Why 589?

    NFL predictions,
    Snowfall in Boston,

    Yogurt, Chuck Norris,
    Lavabe and the Maasai.

    Phrases we all hate,
    Good karma all around.

    Evil, plotting birds,
    Snowfall in the South.

    Refrain

    Showering habits,
    Wilson hates Fleetwood Mac.

    We wrote a novel
    One line at a time.

    Broomball, sick dogs,
    This thread will never die,

    Winning the lottery,
    Posting milestones,

All of us need good vibes
    New jobs all around

    Earl Jam’s banned again
    Billybreen’s locked away.
    Outstanding. Congrats.

These are special days, kinda like a snow day in school. Grab a burger, work from home and have fun!

I too am working from home today. I've got the windows open, it's already in the low 70's (highs in the mid 80's today) and there isn't a cloud in the sky. Southern California has it's moments.

Ah, but you miss out on the 30's when you leave for work and in the single digits when you return type of days.

I didn't get out fast enough. The power came back.

Why are you having 70's when I'm having 20's? That's not fair!

Congratulations on the reviews - for writing and your skills as a waitress.

I don't know about a burger, but every time I look at your avatar I get hungry.

I love grits. Grits are good. All hail grits! Ah hell, grits!

Nah, I'm kind of board too.

When I was at the spa last year, I picked up a neck roll, http://www.taraspa.com/index.cfm/her...k_pillow_9.htm. That might be something to have around when you're not feeling well, or had a really stressful day. I really, really like mine. In fact have it round my neck now.

    Closing

Just thought I'd pass a quick update on the house. Closing is 4 weeks from today (2/11). That is the day of the Duke/Hole game. The seller used to work at UNC, and of course the buyer works at Duke.

The seller has agreed to the major repairs I requested, in fact wrote me a really nice note explaining why she is fixing those things versus some of the smaller things.

Ooh, that looks like it would match my microwaveable spa socks nicely!
