Oops, got distracted and didn't post that second comment right away - I think everyone here is smart enough to figure out what I was talking about.

I was told so many times that the Mona Lisa was a disappointment that by the time I saw it, my expectations were so low, I did not find her to be a disappointment. In fact, she was more inspiring that I expected.

She's not my favorite piece of art in the Louvre though. She's not even my favorite da Vinci in the Louvre.

My favorite da Vinci in the Louvre is the Virgin on the Rocks. But my favorite piece of art in the Louvre is (yes, it's a famous one) . . .

    The Venus de Milo.

Gonna be close here. Headed out in a few to kayak, plan to be off the river well before noon.

We're trying to gentle our well. Watering plants is being done in a judicious manner.
In other news has anyone seen Neowise yet? We've had overcast night skies this week so no go.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

I keep going to this website and it keeps giving me worse news. I knew SC was a red state, but please not this kind of red.

At least we're not Florida. (Note, I'm not sure how I attached Florida to this post.)

A few more hours and I should be done with The Legends Club.

Only 96 here, definitely has cooled down from earlier this week.

I stopped looking at things like that as much as possible. Texas is likely less red as we have a bunch of open spaces with little to no people there.

Well, that took a couple to 3 hours longer than expected.

New concern: I will fail a cognitive test in my more advanced years because, when asked what you use to measure height, I will respond with “cinder blocks.”
