It's the Mmmmmm thread I worry about. Speaking of "enjoy responsibly."

Ahh, but summary statistics may belie the truth. It is likely in my opinion that the 2020 thread will catch it. How can I be so insistent you ask? Because of the early posting.

Here are the numbers by comparison:

    2016 2020
    Election Election
    1/1/2019 0 1/1/2019 0
    2/6/2015 0 2/6/2019 294
    6/30/2015 365 6/30/2019 1,373
    11/15/2016 16,488 11/10/2020

Takeaway is that early posting is 3+X the prior election. Now, the wild card to this is that this time around the incumbent may be running unchallenged(or relatively so) within their own party, so that may keep volume down in 2020. Time will tell. In the long run, it won't really matter as that other thread is time bound and will get locked. I picked 11/10 as the end of that thread as it is 7 days after the election. Which is the time frame of the prior thread.

But, regardless, LTE will again recapture the flag. Mmmmmm will pass and hold. Our reign is ending...

Reading old posts is not a winning strategy.

There was. More than slight, really. But we have them now. And they are spoiled. Well, spoiled in that I give them fresh lettuce and cucumbers everyday. They do not seem to be enjoying baby carrots like they used to.

Should we rename this thread "The longest thread ever: Ymmmm PopTarts"?

I predict that if the new PE thread ever gets remotely close, the traffic will pick up over here.

There are way too many beer drinkers around here. ;-)

And if it's looking tight, have some wag break open the emergency pun container. That never fails.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

We could also start recommending wines.

    Anybody drink wine?

You could just kidnap devildeac and take away his smart phone for a week.

(Not advocating that, mind you. Just spitballin' ideas here)

I feel some responsibility to push this thread forward a bit. Anyone know any good knock knock jokes?

WHAT!?! (I mean, it is just cherry soda, but it's THE BEST CHERRY SODA!!) I'd say I was sorry for the shouting, but I'm not really.

I'm not the biggest drinker of anything, to be honest. In the summer though, if I'm going to drink something, it is almost always a white wine, something on the lighter side. I had a nice Riesling the other day. Don't remember the label but it was a nice wine.

Pinot Gris pairs well with sunsets.
