Go Stars!
Any NHL fans on these boards?
Go Stars!
Go Kraken!
Blueshirts!
Pretty sure the rest of the country sees us all as the NJ Devils. Go Canes.
My Blues took one on the chin last night at home to the Phoenix Coyotes 6-2.
On a business trip to the Twin Cities so heading to the Oilers vs. Wild game tonight. Will report back if anything of interest happens.
The game was great. It was pouring rain so didn’t get to enjoy St. Paul, except for dinner at Cossetta — great casual place for Italian food right down the street.
The stadium was really nice with lots of craft beer and food options. The hype video and stadium atmosphere was intense - especially for a random Tuesday night. Minnesotans do love their hockey!
And the game was crazy! Edmonton looked like killers in the first period, but the Wild kept it close with a late goal in the first. Then a fight early in the second period (going from memory, but you get the gist) and everything turned around. Hartman with an hat trick for Minnesota and the Oilers pulled their goalie and it ended up 7-4 for the Wild! Only bummer was McDavid didn’t play for Edmonton.
Great atmosphere that made me remember why I love watching hockey in person. Highly recommend a Wild game if you are in town.
Go Wings!
Is the Frozen Frenzy just a couple of times thing or will it be ongoing like the NFL RedZone?
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'
This was horrible.

American hockey player Adam Johnson, who appeared in 13 NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2019 and 2020, has died after his neck was cut by a skate blade during a game in England on Saturday, his team said. He was 29.
Johnson was playing for the Nottingham Panthers in a Challenge Cup game against the Sheffield Steelers when he suffered the skate cut during the second period of the Elite Ice Hockey League game at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena.
Just horrible. Prayers to his family and friends and the teams and all involved.
