Beilinson still in for the 8th. Another nasty strikeout followed by a one out double.

Beilinson going for the nearly three inning save

6-3 Final. Hopefully this remains a quality win by the end of the season.

Final. Duke 6, Indiana 3. Santucci gets the win, Beilinson an impressive 2.2 IP save. Very good stuff against a legit non conference foe.

Next game vs George Mason shouldn’t be as difficult

It should. IU is projected near the top of the B1G.

Agree. The Athletic has a series on college baseball - very high on Indiana. Lots back from a very good team last year

Their starting pitcher was excellent. He will likely win a bunch of games for them this year.

Beilenson is a bulldog on the mound. His 3 inning stint allowed Pollard to save Oschell and Tallon.

Santucci was really impressive. He kept Indiana hitters off balance with his 95-97 mph FB mixed with his 82-84 mph change up.

The all transfer infield looked good. Everyone in the lineup got at least one hit, except for the freshman DH, Garcia, who did draw a couple of walks.

Harvard transfer Logan Bravo in particular was impressive with 3 hits, including a homer.

LH sophomore Andrew Healy gets the start tomorrow vs George Mason.

Coastal is up 13-0 over George Mason in the 4th

Really think Pollard is best coach at Duke right now all things considered. Next to football, baseball toughest gig at Duke given scholarship limits which makes in state recruiting hard, NIL and SEC emphasis on the sport (several MLB coaches make less than SEC coaches)

    Here's a very cool story.
ECU baseball's Parker Byrd becomes first division-I baseball player to play with prosthetic leg
“It is one of the proudest moments I have ever had as a coach,” said ECU head coach Cliff Godwin, “And he’s going to get some more. He has worked his tail off it was super emotional. The umpire behind home plate told me later when I was making a change he has been an umpire for 17-18 years and it is the coolest moment he has ever been a part of.”

Duke will play #11 ECU in May.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."

Inauspicious start to the game V George Mason.
1 batter, 1 home run, 1-0 deficit in the first.
