Knight and the BOT believed that Ivy-League status meant bad football. If only Jim Plunkett, who led Stanford to the Rose Bowl, had been a few years earlier.

She might not have been the first, but she was not without sin in this regard.

ESPN has Riley Leonard ranked as the #7 QB in the country.

I hope our team and our program can capitalize on all this attention. If this moment is the peak for our program - well, we could do worse. But there's a lot of really great momentum we can build with a good showing tomorrow while the world is watching.

The thing that has made being a Duke bball fan so enjoyable for so long is that they consistently have played with focus and determination and therefore when they lose it still tends to be a great game and worthy of attention. That was 100% true from my first year at Duke in '83 through at least some point in the 00s, and has been extremely close to that level since then. From the first game under Elko up to this point, the same is true. I am extremely confident that Duke fball will capitalize on the attention and will continue to be one of the big stories of the college fball year.

I think "How does Duke get butts in Wallace Wade Stadium" is a topic broached almost even more than minutes.
Can't say that Duke isn't trying, and trying hard.

    I like this approach.

They've been doing this once a year for a while now, I'm not sure I'd have done it for State (or unc) though.

If I had to guess, more based on thinking Leonard is down - than it is an assessment of the performance last night.

    Duke 19th in AP poll

Just a drop of two spots. Notre Dame back in top ten.

Staying at #19 shows quite a bit of respect for how Duke looked last night. That means we should stay in the polls for a couple of weeks ahead of the NC State game.
