Kara empties the bench. Good move.

SDW is high risk, high reward. De Jesus is steady and less error-prone. Its good to have them both. Minutes go to the one who is playing better.

Nice game to build confidence. It gets much tougher after this.

Excellent start to the tourney. 40 point victory.

Iona played much better in the second half. Easy to see how they could dominate at their level.

Solid performance by Duke. 58.5% FG, plus-27 on the glass (Duke had more offensive rebounds than Iona had total rebounds), Brown and Heide combined for 18 (8-11 FG) and 11. Forced 18 turnovers. 22 assists on 38 made FG.

Time hor hydration, ice, and rest. Monday night will be much tougher.

Duke did not play intense D in the second half.

Four played 21 minutes. Six others played between 18-20. Enough to shake off the rust, should be fresh for Monday.

And yet we increased our lead in both quarters, with the 4th being played almost entirely by the bench.

The margin against MTSU was a surprise, and they have played a lot of good P12 teams tough. Other than the score becoming "less than double" late in the 2nd half, I can't complain. Another 9PM start for Monday.
