This time of year the chattering class can sit in the back of the room. The actual results speak for themselves.

There's not a perfect thread to put this since it affects the tourney as a whole, not just a single region.

Anyway, Lively is listed as one of five "Players to watch".

The crown jewel of Duke's vaunted freshman class, Dereck Lively remains a work in progress on offense. But he's ready for his spotlight on defense. An athletic, 7-foot-1 center, Lively is a difference-maker at the rim whose 2.3 blocks per game don't tell the whole story.

    The others are
    Zack Edey - Purdue
    Trayce Jackson-Davis - Indiana
    Oscar Tshiebwe - Kentucky
    Keyontae Johnson - Kansas State
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."

I'm cheering for the Rajun' Cajuns tonight. I got confused between ULM and ULL.

Tenn started out hot, but now struggling big time on O. Cajuns aren’t backing down and seem relentless.

Tennessee is an interesting team. It seems that everything they do really well on defense, they can't do themselves on offense.

Great running guys off the line. Can't make an open shot.
Great at getting steals. Cough the ball up all the time.
Wonderful shot blocking. Gets blocked all the time.

Yeah, their defense is smothering. They really miss Zeigler.

Yea this game is uglier than many UVA games.

Both teams hadn't made a bucket for like over 4 minutes. Now, LA on an 8-0 run to tie it at 19 with 4 to go in the half. It's been sloppy, a lot of turnovers.

Think Lively will be a nightmare for either of these teams.

    Good Lord, you are right!
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

Yes- but they do not seem up to the challenge

Crazy thing about March is how you get wildly different teams. ORU is a guard-dominated team. This Tennessee team has almost no guard play.

Duke is going to have to value possessions if they face the Vols on Saturday.

Always had a soft spot for Hickory, NC’s own Rick Barnes ever since his days at Clemson. I loved it when he would get into it with Dean Smith.

Louisiana has had like 5 or 6 shots go in and out. They've been COLD from 3...and everywhere.
