I like the chick in the Kansas State band with the bad azz 5 string bass.

    Painter is good company.

Matt Painter joins Lute Olson and Tony Bennett as the only coaches to lose three times to a team seeded 13th or lower. And he did it in three straight years.

A completely ridiculous performance by the school we used to call Fairly Ridiculous University.

If 14 seed Montana St somehow manages to knock off K State, then this year’s tourney will feature at least one win by every seed.

Had Kennesaw St managed to hold on, we would already be there.

According to the game story on ESPN.com, FDU is the smallest team in all of D1 men’s basketball, average height 6’1.” Roster says their tallest guy is 6’7.”

    Except, ironically, a 12

You are correct. I completely missed the fact that no 12 seed won a game this year. So no wins for 12 and 14 seeds (unless Montana St manages to win).

The FAU guy was fouled hard with no call on their last shot.

  15. #315
Wow...FAU wins!! That held ball/change possession arrow was huge. FAU the more disciplined team. I feel like Memphis is full of some head cases. FAU is a solid team, didn't shoot that well until late, and seemed to be down most the game. Memphis having fights with their own team during timeouts and Penny chucks a water bottle after the game. Some head scratching plays certainly and some sloppiness. But the last few minutes was a lot of fun.

Poorly played game. Both teams deserved to lose. Don’t understand several of Penny’s coaching decisions. Head scratchers.

Wow, that was an interesting ending for Memphis

Agree with Bluedog, Memphis was a wreck and Penny throwing the water bottle wasn’t a good look. He’s been unhinged in press conferences in the past, seems like his behavior filters down to the players. I’m glad they lost.

Now, we really need to take care of business tomorrow!!

Penny is a mess...team is always so erratic and such a poor look on him at the end chucking that water bottle.
