Put me in the camp of didn’t think it was a foul. There’s contact of every play and they let a lot go that game.

But the cruel irony is that Lee Cassell made that call. The same person who bungled the end of the Duke/UVA game. Not sure how he gets an elite 8 assignment.

I didn’t get a chance to watch the game, but how in the world is Lee Cassell refereeing games in the NCAA Tourney. He is a terrible, and biased ref. I figured when someone dredged up his old tweet pulling for Miami and spelling Duke with 2 os, he’d he done.

The Internet let me down today. I got bits and pieces of the South Region honors on Twitter, but no one posted the whole damn team until I found it on Creighton's site.

Darrion Trammell, San Diego State (Most Outstanding Player)
Lamont Butler, San Diego State
Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton
Baylor Scheierman, Creighton
Tasan Evbuomwan, Princeton

This East Village Times article (a San Diego sports site) says that Trammell and Kalkbrenner were co-winners of Most Outstanding Player, but you would think Creighton's site would mention that about one of their own players.

If true, Kalkbrenner joins this list of Most Outstanding Players that did not advance out of the region and into the Final Four.
