Does anybody still have a perfect bracket? lol
Let's not cast aspersions just yet. We have a game in 30 minutes against a 12 seed. Let's not make basketball gods angry just before our game. Sorry, I'm superstitious.
Does anybody still have a perfect bracket? lol
RIP my brackets
Wow. That Buffalo loss must've stung. Jeez.
Good hard data that IMO backs up my assumption. Note all the double digit seeds that beat them.
And also to be fair, we know they won it in '97.
But toss in the 2005 choke job vs. Illinois, and I submit my case: The Arizona Wildcats are the biggest perennial choker in the tournament since they went to 64 teams in '85.

I will never talk about That Game. GTHC.
ESPN's Perfect Bracket Tracker says there are still 34,922.

For I am Princeton, destroyer of brackets. Look upon my works, ye pundits, and despair.
UVA is a good team and helps the ACC. Unlike UNC cheating rtc. So w all respect I say GO FURMAN!!!!!!!!!
See my user name. I’ve been here for years (rap quote lol). Man. What a win !!!!!!!!
I fear we may lose our coach - Bob Richey - at some point. Not because of one win. But we have 3 ? 25 plus win seasons under him (a record for us) and if not for that painful shot by Chattanooga last year woulda won the weekend twice in a row. But basically are top 2/3 in SoCon easy every year now. And that’s without a guy - Noah Gurley- who transferred and plays 20 minutes after Bama now !!!
Pat Forde not holding back in this column on UVa. He’s not wrong.
https://www.si.com/college/2023/03/1...le-was-a-flukeThe record: 6–0 in 2019, 7–8 otherwise. The Cavaliers are serial underachievers, glass-jawed tourney softies, the opponent every double-digit seed wants to see in its bracket on Selection Sunday.

And even in 2019 the Cavs got a lot of breaks. First, they had the softest region. Duke was the overall #1, but had the toughest region.
Second, they were extremely fortunate to get past Purdue. As Forde said, the winning shot nearly was late.
Third, in the semis, they played a wounded Auburn team, missing a starter. Even then, it took a bad no call (missed double dribble on Ty Jerome) to allow UVA to beat Auburn.
Fourth, in the finals, Texas Tech had a starter playing on a badly sprained ankle.
I sometimes think about what would have been had Zion and Co. been in that regional. Not that I'm still bitter. . .
State is in trouble. Can't handle Creighton's size.
