The Canes were missing Nigel Pack, and the absence of his ballhandling and shotmaking hurt them in the second half collapse. Not sure of his status for Saturday but he was day-to-day as of last weekend so he probably plays.

Not saying Pitt can’t win, just that there was an extenuating circumstance in that FSU game.

Agreed that Miami wasnt at full strength without Pack...but they did blow a 25 point lead, which I believe is the largest lead ever blown in ACC history. The Canes still had plenty of talent and skill on the floor to handle FSU, especially sporting a 23 point lead at halftime.

Thanks for that news. I guess 4th seed means more rest and 5th means a better bracket (in my opinion). The main thing is beat the Cheats and stay healthy. The eight players we have in the rotation can all contribute and eight is enough. I remember that was the theme one year going into the ACCT and it worked out very well.[/U]

More evidence that this Duke team may be just a touch better than its record, viewed in isolation, indicates. We’ve got a chance to prove that in about an hour.

I think the more accurate takeaway is that UVa, Miami, Pitt, and Clemson are worse than their record indicates. I think we are just about spot on with our record and performance.
