Duke 10-3 at the half.
Duke leads, 4-0, after Q1. DeSimone with a hat trick, and Jenner 5-5. Duke with a lot of turnovers, but riding well (Liberty with four blown clears in the quarter).

Duke rolling, 10-3, at the half. Liberty’s zone defense is creating a lot of turnovers, but they are also giving up a lot of shooting-space fouls, and Duke is making them pay (5-7 on FPs). Duke is 14-16 on draws.
14-4 Duke after three. Fitzpatrick having a day: 12 saves, four GA.
18-4 is your final. Five goals for DeSimone, 14 DCs for Jenner, 13 saves for Fitzpatrick. Total domination, turnovers notwithstanding.
Next up : one of the games that will likely define Duke’s season. ND, on a neutral site (American Legion Stadium in Charlotte).
Duke - ND at 1:30 p.m. Eastern today on ACCNX. Irish are 3-1, their only loss to Northwestern, but they struggled mightily before subduing Clemson in the Tigers’ first-ever ACC game last week. Irish are led on offense by the familiar duo of Kasey Choma and Jackie Wolak.
I have divided loyalties for this game: Irish have two players from my high school. Hope Wolak and Olivia Derrico play well but lose.
ICYMI, Cheaterettes ran roughshod over BC in yesterday’s happy-hour game, winning 16-5. At this point, it’s hard to see them losing.
Duke trails, 6-5, at the half.
ND leads 6-5 at the half.

ND put on a defensive clinic in the second half, holding Duke to one goal, and rolled to a 14-6 win.
Back-to-back losses push the Duke women down to number 13 in both polls. Need a big bounce-back performance against Clemson this week.
Duke women get a chance to get off the schneid today, in their first-ever visit to Clemson. The Tiggers are 6-2, 0-2 in ACC play. They’ve piled up big numbers against inferior non-conference opponents, given ND a surprisingly hard time in their first ACC game, and gotten whomped by Virginia. They’re at least as good, eight games in, as Pitt was at a similar point in its first season—and Duke really struggled against the Panthers last year.
Duke will be favored, but this is anything but a gimme.
Noon Eastern on ACCNX.
Upstart Clemson got off to a 3-1 start but Duke has now fought back and leads 4-3 early in 2Q.
Now tied at 8 after 3Q.

Clemson squeaks out their first ACC win 11-10. Clemson's defense was stifling with goalie Lamparter leading the way.
After a slow start, Duke has scored 5 straight and now leads Yale 7-6 in 2Q.
An intense game, going back and forth with scoring, now tied at 12 after 3Q.
Yale takes advantage of a 2-minute unreleasable player-up with 4 minutes to play and scores twice, giving them a 15-14 win over Duke. Another tough loss.
Brutal unforced turnover with a minute to go killed Duke’s chances of forcing overtime. DeBellis just whiffed on a simple pass.
Four straight losses, with Syracuse coming to town on Saturday. Season is circling the drain.
Time for a reset of the program. We are a bottom 3 team in the ACC and haven’t been a legitimate national threat for a very long time. Our coach is an extraordinary woman, but we just can’t consistently climb the ladder and it is time for new leadership.
