The big horse, Arabian Knight, will make his 2nd start; and he will be the racetime favorite. Jace's Road, who won the Gun Runner, is also in the field. Carona Bolt has 2 wins an may hit the triple.

There are a couple of notable 3YO Filly races too:

The sister race to the Southwest Stakes is the Martha Washington at Oaklawn Park:

Defining Purpose looks like the favorite; Olivia Twist is undefeated in 3, but speed numbers are lacking.

The Las Virgenes at Santa Anita, also for 3YOF:

Faiza and Pride Of The Nile look to be the favorites; Faiza does not have Pratt on her because he is in Florida. Justique has won 2 of 3, but speed figures were not stellar; but you don't need to win by a ton if you still win.

So where are the top jockeys this weekend? Gulfstream Park for the big Pegasus races:

Here is the Pegasus World Cup Invitational:

This race is to be the swan song for the best horse in the field (by last year's production); Cyberknife will be heading off to stud after the race. Proxy, Defunded, Art Collector, and White Abarrio are known commodities that will vie for a check. A sharp horse right now is Skippylongstockings. Simplification is a long shot in here, but his only wins have been at this track; horses for courses. Pick Cyberknife over any of Proxy, White Abarrio, Proxy, and Skippylongstockings. BTW, don't tell anyone that there are no foreign horses in the World Cup.

For you turfers, there is a Pegasus World Cup Turf race:

Ivar looks like the best horse, but Who's The Star and Speaking Scout have a shot at placing.

The Inside Information has some nice fillies:

Obligatory has been losing to better competition. Famed, the half sister to Essential Quality, has been getting sharper. None of these fillies are as good as Inside Information was. Inside Information was sired by Private Account; Private Account was also the sire of Personal Ensign.

The San Pasqual has some familiar names:

Newgrange looks like the best here. Messier is not the horse he used to be. Hopper is a first time Baffert, and has won 2 of his 3 lifetime races.

That's all for now.
