    RIP Franco Harris

Wow. All week I have been seeing features hyping the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception this weekend. The NFL very purposely scheduled a rematch of the game for this weekend. And he is gone. Only 72 - I didn't realize he was so young at the time.

My wife is from Pittsburgh so we go there frequently. Get off the plane in the airport and there is the Immaculate Reception statue of Franco. He is beloved there - he was apparently a really nice guy.

    Very sad.

    Oh wow.

Any chance he’ll put in his will whether or not he actually caught the ball?

    Truly one of the greats.

Crap. I'd really get wankerized for the things I really want to write. My 2nd favorite Steeler of all time, he really was a class act on and off the field. Crap.

Very sad. Great player and a class act on and off the field. And I say that as a Bengal fan.

I was a fan of his albeit not a steelers person.
    Godspeed.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

He came to the old Duke Children's Classics many times. Got his autograph more than once.
