As I understand them, the goal is to make them so regular people can't hear them, like a dog whistle. So if everyone knows that something is a dog whistle, it's not longer a dog whistle, but just a plain ol' whistle.

Late to this post but, it’s funny you mentioned this. I had a reservation for a Ford F-150 Lightning, which I later canceled when the trim package I wanted was no longer available. A buddy of mine good-naturedly harassed me for wanting to order “Joe Biden’s pickup.” Unfortunately brands are increasingly viewed as political statements. The car itself had become the bumper sticker.

Don't know what Europe's contribution to Twitter ad revenue is but I doubt they can take many more blows. From what I've read, ad revenue is already down across EMEA...
