I watched it live just moments ago. I just wish it had gotten into the crowd as I love watching the scrum for an historic baseball.

Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

I am a huge Yankees fan who has watched almost every single one of his at bats for the past few weeks. I was watching the game but turned it off for a little while to do some things with the kids. And of course I missed it. Oh well. What a great moment for a great guy. I hope he gets 62 soon then can have some well-deserved time off.

It’s been pretty boring watching him draw a ton of walks for the last week.

Now lets get that Triple Crown!

As many know, I am a big Mets fan. But have always respected and appreciated the "Yankee way".

Judge is easy to root for. Seems to be a solid guy...and very likeable.

Glad he's over the 61 hurdle...now to go beyond that.

PS. He'd look great in RF at Citi Field next year.

Why is anyone pitching to him? As a pitcher there is no way I'd set myself up to be the guy who gave up 62 (or 61, 60, 59, etc).

He has had a great season. Sure Ohtani is the best player in baseball but Judge has had a very popular season.

Many people remember the name Tracy Stallard for just one reason.

Some NYM trivia. Both Tracy Stallard (61) and Jack Fisher (60) ended up on my Mets - Stallard in 1963-4 and Fisher in 1964-7.

Stallard lost 20 games in 1964.

Fisher lost 24 games for the 1965 team. Earlier, when with the O's, Fisher also gave up Ted Williams's last base hit (HR), in his final at bat (1960).

It used to be said that you had to be a pretty good pitcher for the manager to put the ball in your hands enough to lose 20.

Or he had no other choice. (From a fan from 1962 at the Polo Grounds.)

I remember when that was said of Fritz Peterson of the Yankees in 1967. That was before he and Mike Kekich swapped wives/families.

This is the perfect time to re-share Arnold Palmer’s legendary Maris story.

Decided my original post doesn't belong in this thread, which doesn't really invite any downers. Sorry about that.

    Talking

For those of you that are wondering, Rogers Hornsby and Chuck Kline are tied for 6th/7th in most hits in a season. Judge holds 7th in HR all by himself
