Ended up with $3400 today. Missed a medical clue... I feel like the wording was inaccurate... threw me for a loop.

Without a super-champion in the mix, Monday's show provided many opportunities. When the correct response was revealed for many of the triple stumpers, my reaction was "of course". Yet, I only managed to get one.

    Low Down: $2000

Unlike me, I suspect that rsvman picked up both triple stumpers in the "Outbreaks" category.

I also missed most of the triple stumpers, but did get the missed DD and Final. Of the ones I did get, well...see below in parentheses.

    Monday 1212

19th Century Literature: $4,600 DD (I thought this one was kind of obvious despite having to guess; the author's name virtually always precedes the title when the novel is referenced)
    Chicago TV: $800

Final Jeopardy!: $4,000 (SHOCKED no one got this; also seemed pretty obvious despite not knowing Latin)

Nice. That one was really hard, a bit past my knowledge and way past my ability to figure it out in 30 seconds. From December 7:

U.S. PRESIDENTS: He was sworn in twice as president within 2 years, first by his father & then later by a former U.S. President

    Spoiler!

    Strong.

I have been so busy at work and so tired by the time I get home that I haven't seen any of this week's episodes, unfortunately.

If it helps you catch up, I'll say that that $7000 Daily Double is the easiest fake $7000 you'll ever make.

The $1200 clue about plays was so clever that it's worth singling out below. Maybe too clever for the contestants to solve in time, but all of them nodded in recognition when Ken provided the correct response.

Allison Janney, Ouisa in this play, was in "The Hours" with Meryl Streep, who was in "The River Wild" with Kevin Bacon

    Spoiler!

Finally saw an episode and only ended up with $1200.
Knew every question that was missed twice, including what I thought was a really easy Final.

Gotta say, while it wasn't a stumper, I really hesitated with my (correct) response to the $400 clue for Everyday Royalty and Nobility.

There's a whole category about Whodunit mystery movies that practically repeated facts I learned from an AVClub article earlier today. The clues would have been taped months ago, and the article came out before the episode did. Go figure.
