When that happened at first I thought Chaney was way out of line- turned out he was the good guy…

In addition to touting UK’s football success of late, Stoops could also remind Cal what sport generates those SEC Football payouts. UK basketball may generate more interest but the football program, no doubt, generates the most money. The 2nd and 3rd tier SEC Schools need to keep up to avoid getting voted off the island. Getting voted into second and third tier payouts is probably more likely but you don’t want to appear to not be trying these days (looking at you Vandy).

kentucky is not worth what the SEC is paying them. What generates those SEC payouts is winning the lottery and ending up at the winners table of the SEC back in the day. That vaunted vanderbilt program is making just as much as UK is from the conference.

Either way, this nonsense is all stupid and reinforces what I think of calipari, and kentucky athletics in general.
