#12 Duke has a 1-0 lead at the half over unranked San Diego at Koskinen. Duke has dominated possession and shots but have only the one goal by Scotty Taylor.

In a nutshell…we have many shots but almost all of them weak. Really not testing the San Diego keeper. That said, absolutely dominating possession. It has to be 75/25 in that regard

More of the same in a scoreless 2nd half as Duke wins their home opener 1-0. Good defensive effort.

    Solid 1-0 win
Limited San Diego to a mere 4 shots
    Excellent defense
Offense is still a work in progress

Duke wins 4-0 over UW-Milwaukee with 2 goals by Mohammed and 1 each by Pariano and Gudbjornsson. This is part of the John Rennie Nike Invitational at Koskinen. There were some rain delays so the Elon-San Diego game is delayed and also the Duke Women's game against Charlotte originally scheduled for 6 pm.

Correction: The Elon-San Diego game was game #1, Duke-UWM was game #2 and DukeWSOC-Charlotte is game #3 and is targeted for a 6:15 pm start at Koskinen.

Duke leads Michigan 1-0 w/ 3 minutes left in the 1st half. Duke just hit the crossbar as I type
"This is the best of all possible worlds."

Duke wins 3-0 on goals by Thomas, Gudbjornsson and Stroud. Axel Gudbjornsson is a Freshman from Iceland and has 2 goals and an assist in 3 games. Although a Defender he seems to be making up for the loss of fellow countryman Thor Ulfarsson who went professional after his freshman year at Duke. However, Axel got a red card for rough play in this game late in the second half so he'll need to play a little smarter.

This has been an extremely physical game....bodies strewn everywhere.

Shakkkkkkkk!!!!! With a missile inside the right post with 8 minutes left to give Duke the lead....what a 360 move to beat 2 defenders!!!!!!!

Louisville has been throwing cheap shots all night. Stroud just took a violent elbow in the mouth.

Duke prevails 2-1 in a squeaker with a late goal by Mohammed. Hamill with 7 saves had a brilliant game. Nice Top 10 road win to open conference play!
