    RIP David McCullough

Historian David McCullough passed away yesterday. He was a 2 time winner of the Pulitzer Prize. He is known for his biographies of John Adams and Harry Truman. The award winning HBO mini-series on John Adams is based on his work (rerun every July 4th).

Most importantly, he will be remembered as the narrator for the movie Seabiscuit.

His biography of John Adams is well worth reading. It was given to me as a gift and I finally read it a couple of years ago. The HBO series won a lot of awards and is highly recommended.

Met him twice - he was also a very kind gentleman.

I just got my copy of 1776 back from youngest child. He is such a pleasure to read, and his range was impressive.
