Streelman shoots Even par today to remain -5. He is currently T12. Hopefully, he will get back in red numbers for Saturday and Sunday rounds.

Alex is -1 through 13, which is the projected cut number.

After staggering out of the gate in the first 21 holes, Adam Long has been -5 since then and is at even par on the last hole. He may need a birdie to make the cut -- or some stumbles by players still on the court.

Yep, Adam needs a birdie to make the cut. You left off Quinn Riley; he is DFL by a whopping 4 strokes. Oh well.

Holy schmoly! I have to criticize Alex more often! He matches the lowest score of the day and moves from 3 off the cut to T20.

Ok Alex, you're gonna suck tomorrow.

Most importantly, he's only 4 off the lead. He could win this thing. Oops, I just jinxed the reverse-jinx.

Streelman tees off at 12:20 today. Afternoon tee times on the weekend are nice. Good luck, Kevin!

Kevin was miked on the 14th hole. Interesting conversation and announcers mentioned his Duke connection in North Carolina. Kevin also showed off his Duke socks.

Alex flipped the on-switch after his +2 in round 1, going -9 the last two days.

Kevin finishes at -7 and currently tied for 18th. His live projected FedEx point standing is 120. Good news to be under 125.

Smalley at -8 with couple holes left.

Good and bad for Alex, more good.

    The bad: A 3-putt on 18 cost him $70,000.

The good: This was his best finish of the calendar year, and after a horrendous Feb-Mar-Apr I hope he has regained his mojo.

On to the Byron Nelson, where he'll be joined by Adam but not Kevin.

Alex has a chance to make some hay this weekend. Sandwiched between an elevated event and the PGA Championship, the Byron Nelson has a relatively weak field. 43 of the 69 players ahead of Alex are not playing in Texas. A top-10 could catapult him up about 10 spots, a top-5 close to 20 spots.

More good...no, GREAT!...news for Alex. We won't know for a day or two, but it looks like he will be playing in his 1st major as a pro, the PGA. Funny thing, the PGA this year is in Rochester, NY: Alex's birthplace.

The other 28 qualifiers into the PGA Championship are in because they slot inside the top 70 in PGA Championship Points, which is the special money list extending from the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson through last week’s Wells Fargo. In order of ranking, Sungjae Im was highest at 14th, while Mark Hubbard pulls up the rear at 70th. Golfers outside the top 70 will help fill the field when the PGA of America performs that step in a day or two. For the sake of comparison, last year, Denny McCarthy (at 89th) would be the last man in the field after the last of the early withdrawals.
Alex's performance in the Wells Fargo moved him up 8 spots to #78.

Alex has withdrawn from the Byron Nelson. I wonder if he figures he will slip into the PGA Championship next week and would better spend his time preparing for his 1st major as a pro. Also, playing this week and next would have made 4 straight tournaments, and I don't think most pros do that.

With Alex out we'll want to follow Adam who tees off at 9:07 Thursday.

    SCREW the PGA.

Interestingly, Dahmen (108th OWGR) was selected ahead of Alex Smalley, who is 102nd in the OWGR. Dahmen also finished 81st in PGA Championship Points to Smalley’s 78th, but Smalley is first alternate. If the winner of the AT&T Byron Nelson already is exempt into the PGA Championship or one of the qualifiers withdraws early, Smalley will gain entry.
If you're not going to follow the rules, why have them? What a ******* CROCK.

Davis Love III withdrew, so Alex is in.

I still say SCREW the PGA.
